I have been anxious to wear this jacket since I picked it up last week at the consignment store for $9. Today, the day of green, was what I was waiting for. I love the color and the fit! I didn’t like the button but I replaced it with one that is much better and now it’s one of my favorite jackets. It goes with this outfit and several other dresses I have (which are less suited for work), so I’m sure you’ll see it again.

The skirt is kind of an odd one with the pleated high-waist, but the pattern has great colors and I think that my blue sash (which is turning out to be one of the more versatile pieces in my wardrobe) from one of my other dresses works well to “finish” it. I didn’t tie the sash but wrapped it flat twice around my waist and then folded the loose end diagonally around the front. It makes an “obi-ish” shape though it did start to come apart by late afternoon.

I like these sandals but I eventually need to find some cute white pumps or maybe some strappy white sandals sometime for some variety. At least with the espadrille soles these are on trend for this Spring.

My necklace is one that I used to wear a lot. I still think it is one of my favorites that I have ever made. I love my bracelet too, but I think I need to find some cool, colorful, chunky ones sometime. Most of my bracelets are silver or neutrals.

I’m glad that in all the style oracles I’m following the declared trends for Spring seem to be bright and bold colors, florals, feminine sandals and pumps, lace and sheers because all of that is already what I am drawn to. I am discovering that I’m really a girly girl as far as my clothes are concerned, and I’m certainly NOT afraid of color. I think this will be a fun Spring for me fashion-wise.
