If you have been wondering where I have been, we were on vacation in Vegas last week. Unfortunately no good, empty wall to take a pic against, nor computer to do edits on, so I have been negligent in posting. But we’re back to the daily grind now so hopefully things should finally get back on track. I did add some nice features to the blog, and fixed my broken RSS feed though, so check it out if you have a chance.

I have been putting this outfit together in my head for a while. I bought the bright tank dress on clearance from ModCloth.com because I loved the colors and the 80′s vibe, but it is kind of a strange fit plus no sleeves and I was having trouble figuring out how to make it work for me. I found this cutwork sheer top for next to nothing at Nordstrom Rack and it works great for sleeves and providing some nice girly details with the embroidery. I used a black sash to finish out the waist and layered in a convertible skirt and a cap-sleeve cami. I think it turned out pretty well, even if it’s not a particularly “normal” outfit. I might eventually figure out another way to wear the tank dress someday… the colors are just too cool.
