I had an appointment Wednesday evening that I was about 20 minutes early for… There is a Ross Dress for Less store near it so I decided to drop in and see what they had. I think I’ve only ever been in a Ross once before many years ago so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was actually surprised at some of the names I saw on the shoe racks and had a very hard time putting back a pair of Franco Sarto sandals that fit me really well. But I couldn’t resist these magenta satin Keds for $9!

I haven’t worn Keds since I was in Jr. High. And a pair of white Keds were basically all I ever wore from elementary school till then. I even had a beach towel that looked like the embossed blue Ked’s logo. They were my go-to tennies. Considering I currently only have one other pair of tennies that Hubby refers to as “bowling shoes” I really couldn’t put these funky pair down.

And besides, they were perfect to wear with my cropped jeans to go to the Black Keys concert.

I paired them with my fun embroidered shirt from Forever21 (where else better to wear it than around all the twenty-somethings, right?), one of my new lovely necklaces from Lukily Design and a black gem bracelet, one of my great Trendenzas scores.

It was a bit more casual than my usual outfit to work, but I don’t think anyone cared, or maybe they were relieved I wasn’t so dressed up that day. :D

I need to find some low tennie socks with the fluffy pompom on the heel to really vintage out these shoes. I wonder anyone sells those anymore…
