It’s always nice to have a long weekend. I probably would have stayed at home but we had some errands to run so that meant getting dressed.

That’s ok, I got to wear one of my new thrifting finds. I went to my favorite consignment store the day before and they were having a 20% off sale which makes it even more awesome. I picked up 4 shirts, 2 skirts, a fancy crop jacket and a belt so it was a good haul. I haven’t been to the consignment store in months now so that definitely scratched an itch.

I love the pattern on this shirt: very Japanese. Not sure how well that fits in with Independence Day, but there are red, white and blue in among the brown. :D The colors are nice… it will go with lots of things.

I just didn’t really want to work too hard going on errands so I paired it with the button down blue jean skirt I picked up at Old Navy for $4 on clearance and my brown sandals that I’ve had forever. I added a brown tiger-eye pendant necklace I made years ago and an awesome geometric carved horn bangle I picked up from Etsy a few months ago. I think it turned out pretty well for not that much contemplation… casual is key sometimes!
